WynnBet’s second launch in Massachusetts took place Friday morning.

Having already launched its retail location at Encore Boston Harbor in Everett on Jan. 31, WynnBet's mobile Massachusetts betting app launched to the masses in the Bay State at 10 a.m.

Massachusetts Background

Sports betting legislation in the state was approved on Aug. 1, 2022 and signed into law by then-Gov. Charlie Baker on Aug. 10.

On Dec. 8, the Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC) approved a Category 1 license to Encore Boston Harbor (EBH) in Everett to operate a WynnBET retail sportsbook. Six days later, the MGC voted unanimously to approve WynnBET Massachusetts' Category 3 mobile sports wagering license after nearly seven hours of presentations, discussions and two executive sessions during its public meeting.

Three casinos with retail sportsbooks opened on Jan. 31: Plainridge Park Casino (Barstool Massachusetts Sportsbook), MGM Springfield (BetMGM Massachusetts) and Encore Boston Harbor in Everett (WynnBET).

When Will Revenue Figures Be Announced?

Official monthly handle/revenue figures for the state will be released by the MGC on/about the 15th of every month, with mobile expected to make its first appearance in April’s report.
