Henderson injured his right ankle during an August 24 practice after slipping on a wet field. However, his Week 1 status remains uncertain. Henderson did not participate in Sunday's or Monday's practice, and ESPN lists him as questionable for Wednesday's game against Seattle.
Head coach Mike Vrabel said Monday that the team would see how Henderson responded during the day's work before determining his availability. Henderson ultimately did not practice Monday, leaving Rhamondre Stevenson and Corey Kiner as the other running backs on the active roster. Defensive tackle Christian Barmore, meanwhile, returned to full participation Monday after sitting out Sunday's practice with a knee issue. He is not listed with a game status designation on the latest Patriots injury report.
The Patriots enter the season with much of the core from last year's Super Bowl team while adding Brown, Doubs and other offseason additions.
