Series Shifts to Atlanta

The series heads down to Atlanta for Game 3 tonight (ESPN, 7 p.m.) and Game 4 on Sunday (TNT, 7 p.m.).

Odds at  Massachusetts betting apps indicate they don’t see any miracles coming from the Hawks.

BetMGM Massachusetts on early Friday afternoon had the Celtics listed as a 5.5-point and -225 moneyline favorite over the Hawks tonight. Since opening at -4.5, the spread has shot up a point, with the Celtics taking 95% of the bets and 93% of the handle on spread wagers. They have also taken 82% of the bets and 87% percent of the handle on moneyline wagers at BetMGM.

The Hawks are a +180 moneyline underdog, with the over/under total points for the game at 228.5. The betting public has favored the under in the game with 52% of the bets and 54% of the handle.

The winner of the series will advance to the Eastern Conference semifinals and will face the winner between the sixth-seeded Brooklyn Nets and third-seeded Philadelphia 76ers. The Sixers lead that best-of-seven series, 3-0, with Game 4 set for Saturday (TNT, 1 p.m.).

Atlanta must make a stand tonight; otherwise, a 3-0 lead for Boston will be insurmountable.
