AFC Favorites to Win Super Bowl LX

This year presents some familiar faces atop the AFC for Super Bowl odds. Each of the top three teams has been to at least the divisional round in the last two seasons. The AFC has won six of the previous ten Super Bowls but trails the NFC by one in the all-time series at 30-29.

Here are the AFC favorites for Super Bowl 60.

Buffalo Bills (+600)

Josh Allen and the Bills share the top Super Bowl odds in the AFC and the NFL with the Ravens at +600. Buffalo has reached the playoffs every year since 2019 but is still chasing its first Super Bowl appearance since 1993. Led by MVP quarterback Josh Allen, the offense is once again expected to be explosive and deep in 2025, while the defense remains one of the most physical and disciplined units in the NFL, making this one of the most balanced rosters in football.

The 2025 season kicks off with a bang as Buffalo hosts Baltimore on Sunday Night Football in a rematch of last year’s AFC Divisional Round, where the Bills came out on top. Expect Week 1 fireworks between these two AFC rivals.

Baltimore Ravens (+600)

As mentioned above, the Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills share the same Super Bowl odds at +600. Lamar Jackson continues to put up MVP-level numbers year after year, but despite his electric playmaking, the team has repeatedly come up just short in the playoffs. This year, Jackson looks to push the Ravens farther with a strong supporting cast that includes powerhouse running back Derrick Henry, reliable receiver Rashod Bateman, and dynamic tight end Mark Andrews.

On defense, Baltimore boasts a fierce unit led by linebacker Roquan Smith, who consistently disrupts opposing offenses. While the Ravens' 2025 schedule features tough divisional matchups and several playoff-tested teams, Baltimore’s balanced roster and experience should keep them in the hunt.

Kansas City Chiefs (+850)

The Kansas City Chiefs enter the 2025 season as the third favorite in the AFC to win Super Bowl 60, with odds at +850. After reaching their third straight Super Bowl last year, but falling to the Eagles, the Chiefs remain a top contender. Led by superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes, their offense features key weapons like tight end Travis Kelce and wide receiver Xavier Worthy.

Defensively, the unit is anchored by dominant tackle Chris Jones and a disciplined secondary. With a balanced roster on both sides of the ball, Kansas City looks ready for another deep playoff run.

NFC Favorites to Win Super Bowl LX

After a two-year run of the AFC Champions claiming the Lombardi trophy, the streak finally ended last year. The NFC will look to get back-to-back Super Bowls to extend their lead in the all-time series this year, currently at 30-29.

Here are the NFC favorites for Super Bowl 60.

Philadelphia Eagles (+700)

The reigning Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles enter the season as the favorites to win it all in the NFC. With a star-studded roster led by dynamic QB Jalen Hurts, powerful running back Saquon Barkley, and explosive wide receiver DeVonta Smith, the Eagles have all the pieces in place to make another deep playoff run. Their balanced offense and defense make them a formidable force and a serious threat to repeat as champions.

They’ll kick off the season on Thursday Night Football, hosting a primetime opener against the Dallas Cowboys on September 4 that’s sure to draw plenty of attention.

Detroit Lions (+1100)

The Detroit Lions have made an impressive turnaround in recent seasons but are still chasing their first Super Bowl appearance. After falling to the Washington Commanders in the 2024 Divisional Round, Jared Goff and the Lions are hungry to push deeper into the 2025 playoffs. The offense, led by Goff and standout wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, continues to improve, while the defense is boosted by the highly anticipated return of pass rusher Aidan Hutchinson.

With a balanced roster and rising momentum, the Lions look poised for another strong season and a deeper playoff push in 2025.

Washington Commanders (+1800)

The Washington Commanders were one of the most surprising teams in 2024, making their first NFC Championship appearance since 1991. Led by Offensive Rookie of the Year Jayden Daniels, the team exceeded expectations and, with key players like wide receiver Terry McLaurin, they’re primed for another strong offensive push. On defense, cornerback Marshon Lattimore brings leadership and playmaking ability to a group looking to take a step forward in 2025.

With a young, hungry roster, Washington is poised to build on last year’s success and push even further into the playoffs.

Betting on the Super Bowl

The Super Bowl is one of the biggest sporting events of the year, and in Massachusetts, sportsbooks roll out a variety of betting options for the game, way beyond your typical NFL matchup. You’ll find everything from traditional bets like spreads and moneylines to fun prop bets on the halftime show and even the coin toss. With all these options, it’s easy to get caught up in the excitement, but it’s important to bet responsibly. Set limits, know your boundaries, and remember that it’s all about having fun while staying in control.

Futures Betting on the Super Bowl

Futures betting lets you place a bet on which team will win the Super Bowl, even before the season starts. Odds open up right after the previous season ends and shift all year long. The goal is to bet at the right time, whether that’s early in the season, when a team’s struggling, or after a big injury changes the landscape.

Super Bowl Moneylines

Moneyline bets are straightforward. Just pick who you think will win. Once the matchup is confirmed, sportsbooks release the odds, and they can shift right up to kickoff. A negative moneyline shows the favorite and how much you need to bet to win $100, while a positive moneyline shows the underdog and how much you’d win for a $100 bet.

For example, in the 2023 Super Bowl, the Chiefs opened as a -150 favorite but became the underdog (+100) by game time. This is proof that moneylines can move fast!

Super Bowl Prop Bets

As stated earlier, because the Super Bowl is such a high-profile game, the number of betting options far exceeds that of a regular game. In some cases, these types of prop bets are only available for the Super Bowl.

  • National Anthem: A bet on whether the national anthem will be shorter or longer than the listed time.
  • Coin Toss: A bet on whether the coin toss to determine possession will be heads or tails.
  • Super Bowl MVP: A bet on who will be selected as MVP of the Super Bowl.
  • Passing Touchdowns: A bet on whether the selected quarterback will throw more or fewer than the number of listed passing touchdowns.
  • Passing Yards: A bet on whether a selected QB will pass for more or less than his listed total passing yards.
  • Rushing Touchdowns: A bet on whether a selected player will have more or fewer than the listed number of rushing touchdowns.
  • Rushing Yards: A bet on whether a selected player will have more or fewer than the listed number of rushing yards.
  • Gatorade Color: A bet on what color the Gatorade will be that the winning team dumps on their coach.
Massachusetts bettors must be 21+ and present to place wagers in the state.

Super Bowl Point Spreads

Point spreads are a step up from moneyline betting. Instead of just picking a winner, you're betting on whether a team will cover the spread by winning by a certain number of points.

For example, if a team is a 3-point favorite, they need to win by 4 or more points to cover. If they’re a 3-point underdog, they need to either win outright or lose by less than 3. If the favorite wins exactly by 3, the bet is a push, and you’ll get your original stake back.

Super Bowl Totals or Over/Unders

Betting on the total is all about predicting the combined score of both teams and whether it will go over or under the listed number.

For instance, the 2022 Super Bowl had a total of 51.5. The Chiefs and Eagles ended up scoring 73 points, so a bet on the over would have paid off. It’s a simple way to bet on the overall game without worrying about who wins or loses.

Super Bowl Parlays

Parlays let you combine different types of bets, like moneylines, spreads, totals, and props, into one big wager. The catch is that all your selected bets need to hit for the parlay to win. While you can’t always combine every type of bet, sportsbooks do offer pre-packaged parlays for the Super Bowl to make things easier.

For example, in Super Bowl 57, a 3-leg parlay might’ve looked like this: Chiefs moneyline, over 51.5 total points, and coin toss: tails. The Chiefs won, the total went over 51.5, and tails won the toss, so this parlay would’ve paid out.

Live Betting on the Super Bowl

Live betting lets you place bets during the Super Bowl, with odds and lines changing in real-time as the game unfolds. It’s a fun way to stay engaged and take advantage of shifting momentum.

For example, if you had bet live on the Chiefs moneyline at +250 during Super Bowl 57 when they were down 14-24, you would’ve hit a winner, since they came back to win the game.
