What Is the Most Recognizable NBA Logo?

Christopher Boan Profile Picture

When you’ve won the most Larry O’Brien trophies in league history, it’s fair to assume that your team’s logo is synonymous with professional basketball, which seems to be the case for the reigning NBA champion Boston Celtics, who have the second-most recognized emblem in the association.

Overall, Boston’s score of 95.7% ranked second leaguewide behind the Chicago Bulls (96.9%), though the Celtics can rest soundly knowing they still have the most championships in NBA history, with 18, while also being the reigning champs in the 30-team league.

Right now, Massachusetts DraftKings Sportsbook has the C’s second on their NBA title odds board, at +235, ranking behind the Oklahoma City Thunder (+225) and ahead of the Cleveland Cavaliers (+1000), illustrating how successful the club’s been of late.

Using a quiz from Sporcle.com, BetMassachusetts.com figured out what NBA logos are the most iconic and most well-known. We created the ranked list based on the percentage of quiz takers who guessed the logo correctly.

Celtics Among NBA’s Most Recognized Logos

Of the 30 teams in the NBA, only Chicago had a higher correct guess score than Boston’s total of 95.7%, which might have something to do with the fact that the survey in question only gives respondents four minutes to identify as many team symbols as possible correctly.

Either way, Boston ranked ahead of the Phoenix Suns (94.8%), Atlanta Hawks (94.2%), Charlotte Hornets (94.0%) and the Orlando Magic (93.4%) when it came to the highest correct guess percentages leaguewide, while the Milwaukee Bucks (93.0%), Golden State Warriors (92.3%), Minnesota Timberwolves (92.1%) and San Antonio Spurs (91.8%) finishing off the NBA top 10 in 2025.
