Now that the NBA regular season has come and gone across Massachusetts sports betting, it’s time for the league’s best teams to square off in the postseason ... while the cellar dwellers of the association work out who will be on their benches at the start of the new year.
For the hometown team, our latest Celtics odds page shows that Boston has the best title odds, as they open up their postseason run against the either the Chicago Bulls or Miami Heat after going 64-18 during the regular season and securing the top seed in the Eastern Conference.
For those in the league that aren’t as fortunate as Joe Mazzulla’s squad, it’s time to assess whether a head coaching change is a necessary step, with teams like the Detroit Pistons and Memphis Grizzlies having some extra time to decide now that they’ve missed the field entirely.
BetMassachusetts.com will be updating odds on the next NBA head coach to be fired every week. Below, you can see where we stand after the week.

Right now, it seems like a veteran head coach in his first season coaching in the Motor City is the odds-on favorite to be canned next, with Monty Williams having very little job security after going 14-68 this year with the Pistons.
Williams, who led the Phoenix Suns to 194 victories across 309 games with the club between 2019-20 and 2022-23, with an NBA Finals berth and two 50-win seasons under his tutelage, is our top coach to be fired next, at +350, while a trio of playoff coaches are next up, in Cleveland Cavaliers’ fifth-year head coach J.B. Bickerstaff and Los Angeles Lakers coach Darvin Ham listed at +700, while Billy Donovan of the Chicago Bulls comes in next at +1000.
Throw in longshot candidates to get canned like Taylor Jenkins of the Memphis Grizzlies and Jason Kidd of the Dallas Mavericks at +1500 each and you have the latest odds in the association surrounding which head coach will get the proverbial pink slip next.
